Back to school: Cool kid friendly wallcoverings

With school starting it’s time to get kids back into studying and spending time at their desks. It may be time to revamp their home desk area to get them excited.

There are a few of our favorite prints and patterns that are kid friendly and super cool.  Our favorite designer’s use wallcoverings to add print and pattern and youthful energy into a space that is above and beyond what a paint color can do.

Watercolor Style

The obvious pastels  prints may be a bit too much.  There are so many abstract prints that have wild colors and almost a watercolor like appearance that any teen would love as they grow older.  Some prints transition into a timeless style that will grow into the changing style of any child, young adult, into their teen years.   One of our recent favorites is a peach color pink water color from Black Crow Studios.

Bold Colors in Cool Textures

Paint color is one thing, but a really cool weave in a deep blue or richly saturated magenta adds a punch to a feature wall or ceiling as the picture below shows.  The  Afraid a natural weave may be a bit hard to maintain, opt for a vinyl like these options to make sure the walls are cleanable and durable.

Rustic Wood Wallcoverings

Rustic wood prints and even a neutral stripe can add a great impact and look really cool on the walls when mixed with fabrics and furnishings that have a similar tone in a teens bedroom.
